PM Imran Khan arrives in Kabul on one day visit to Afghanistan. The Foreign Minister of Afghanistan received the Prime Minister.
PM Imran Khan was brought to the presidential palace under protocol. On arrival at the Presidential Palace, Afghan Ashraf Ghani received Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan was presented a guard of honor on his arrival at the Presidential Palace.
The national anthems of both the countries were played. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi was also accompanying the Prime Minister. PM discussed Afghan peace process, bilateral relations.
The Prime Minister payed one day visit at the invitation of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani. Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Afghanistan was of a very important nature.
Last month, Prime Minister Imran Khan said Pakistan was ready to work with any Afghan government.
Addressing a seminar on Pak Afghan Trade and Investment Forum 2020, Prime Minister Imran Khan had said that the region has had ties with Afghanistan for centuries but the two countries suffered due to the chaos in Afghanistan.
Pakistan wants a peaceful Afghanistan. He had said that both Pakistan and Afghanistan had suffered in the war on terror while the chaos in Afghanistan had created misunderstandings in both the countries.
External pressure cannot impose an opinion on the people of Afghanistan. Now the people of Afghanistan will have to make their own decisions.
The Prime Minister said that it was time to realize what was lost and what was gained in the past. Man learns from the past, does not live in the past, and public relations promotes mutual relations.
Promoting public and political relations between the two countries is the top priority of the government and my government is sincerely trying to establish trade relations between the two countries.
He said that he would continue his efforts for development in Afghanistan and Pakistan and peace in Afghanistan would also benefit Pakistan and other countries.
We must move from the past to trade, economy and peace. The Prime Minister had said that we tried to befriend India but failed, but we will continue to try to extend a hand of friendship to India.
