Legend Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubramanyam was tested positive for Covid-19.
He passed away today at 74. SP Bala was admitted to a hospital in Chennai since August 5.
According to his son S.P Chran his father Balasubrahmanyam breathed his last at 1:04 PM at MGM Healthcare hospital in Chennai.
S.P Charan said. The hospital will release further details. Balasubrahmanyam was battling with Covid 19 for over a month.
On August 5 in a Facebook post. SP Bala said. He was suffering from a very mild attack of coronavirus and had got himself hospitalised to take rest.
He was tested negative on September 13 but he was on life support since August 13. Even on 22 September S.P Charan posted on his official twitter account as:

He was an Indian musician, playback singer, music director, actor, dubbing artist and film producer who worked predominantly in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam films.
He sung over 40,000 songs in 16 Indian languages. He has garnered six National Film Awards for Best Male Playback Singer.

Some sources revealed, He was believed to have held the Guinness World Record for recording the highest number of songs by a singer with over 40,000 songs.
He received the state NTR National Award for his contributions to Indian cinema. SPB was honored with the Indian Film Personality of the Year consisting of a Silver Peacock Medal.
SP Balu is a recipient of the Padma Shri award 2001 and Padma Bhushan award 2011 honored by the Government of India.
